Jose-Lorenzo Maldonado is a multifaceted producer whose career has spanned television, film, digital and educational platforms. He currently provides production consultation services which include estimated and actual budgets, schedules, logistics, recruiting, script analysis, animation, pos-production, editing, music videos, graphic design, and event management.
He was instrumental in the initial studio build out, launch, and production of Our Cartoon President which aired on Showtime for 3 seasons. He also produced The Adventures of Swamp Turtle, Amy McGrath’s animated senate race campaign for Putnam Partners LLC. Before that Jose worked in production on a variety of animated series for Comedy Central and FXX Network for studios such as Bento Box Entertainment and Fox Animation Domination Hi-Def. As a freelance producer, he has successfully worked on a variety of digital shorts such as TeachMe.tv’s Who You’re Meant To Be (recipient of a 2021 Bronze Telly Award) and The Knowledge Project’s Journey of a Water Molecule (recipient of the 2012 ASIFA East award for Educational Short).
Recently, Jose has expanded his production capabilities across industries. He currently produces Hot 702.5 FM’s weekly radio program Showtime with Jordan von Haslow & Friends which features a myriad of creative professionals from Musicians, Actors, Writers, Camera Operators, Make Up & Hair Stylists, Editors among others. He has also been branching into event production as a consultant.
In addition to production work, Jose has a vested interest in community organization and causes. He has been voted president of 3 different Tenant’s Associations, and has volunteered with organizations such as Miami Beach Pride.
Lastly, Jose has a keen interest in and encyclopedic knowledge of music, particularly of the rock and edm varieties.
